Twilight Program

As a regional high school serving over 21,000 households, Hunterdon Central recognizes its obligation to meet the needs of all students in our community.   Sometimes, in order to accomplish this goal, it is necessary to look for unique, individualized approaches to a traditional educational model.

In September, 2008, Hunterdon Central began offering an alternative path to achieving high school success - the Hunterdon Central Twilight Program.

In the Twilight Program, students work at their own pace, prepare for state standardized tests, and gain vocational skills and experience while working toward the attainment of their high school diploma.

The academic component of the program takes place at Hunterdon Central, from 1:30 – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.  The Twilight Program also allows students to have the option of taking courses at Hunterdon County Polytech or of being employed at an approved job site for possible work-study credits.   To succeed in The Twilight Program, a student must be motivated and capable of working individually, as well as in small groups.
