athletic Department Overview:

The Athletic Department at Hunterdon Central strives to provide our student-athletes with a comprehensive, well-planned and balanced program of 33 interscholastic sports.

Hunterdon Central is a member of the NJSIAA, the Skyland Conference, the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex County Athletic Association and the Mid-State 39 Football Conference.

Hunterdon Central's Athletic Department has won the Star Ledger Cup in 2000 and 2001 and the ShopRite Cup for Excellence in Athletics, Academics and Sportsmanship in 2008, 2011 and 2012.

    Central Defeats Phillipsburg Baseball

    Hunterdon Central's Matt Pasko finished 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI, and Matt Padre delivered a home run to lead Hunterdon Central to an 11-1 victory over Phillipsburg. Bobby Cole earned the victory allowing four hits, striking out four and issuing no walks over six innings for Hunterdon Central.

    Baseball Falls In Semi-Finals Wins Consolation

    Robbinsville Michael Fischer, Ben Sanders and Evan Bohan each had three RBI as Robbinsville earned a 15-7 victory over Hunterdon Central, No. 5 in the NJ.com Top 20, in the semi-finals of the Red Devils Tournament. Brett McManus was 2-for-4 with three runs for Hunterdon Central. Matt Toke was 2-for-4 with three RBI and Anthony Cilla was 3-for-4 with two RBI.Central went on to win the consolation game over South Brunswick by the score of 4-0.

    Softball Takes Tournament Title

    Hunterdon Central's Olivia Zengel hit a two-run home run and Madison Sias added an RBI single to lead Hunterdon Central to a 6-5 victory over Jefferson in the finals of the Red Devil Tournament. Karissa Zubalake pitched a nine-hitter with five earned runs, four walks, and five strikeouts to notch the win for Hunterdon Central.

    Softball Wins Semi-Final of Red Devil Tournament

    Hunterdon Central's Gina Cillo, Ally Hernandez, Micaela Dix, Madison Sias and Marissa DeVincezo each drove in a run to lead Hunterdon Central to a 5-1 victory over Sparta in the semifinals of the Red Devil Tournament.

    Boys Volleyball Steps It Up First Week of Season

    With a young and relatively inexperienced lineup, Hunterdon Central has impressed through the opening week of the season, where it has racked up victories over Eastern, No. 8 in the NJ.com Top 20, and No. 11 Hillsborough. Hunterdon Central also took down West Windsor-Plainsboro South on Wednesday. Hunterdon Central, which will look to continue to improve and has a shot to make a run in a loaded Central Jersey field, will play at the Bloomfield Invitational on Saturday.

    Girls Lacrosse Defeats Hillsborough

    Central's girls lacrosse player Holly Andersen scored four goals and dished out three assists to lead Hunterdon Central past Hillsborough, 15-6. Courtney Patterson and Kathleen Jaeger added a hat trick, while Stephanie Delliturri made 12 saves.

    Boys Lacrosse Defeated by Montgomery

    Montgomery's Matt Stagnitta scored four goals, including the game winner in double overtime, when Montgomery defeated Hunterdon Central, 9-8, in Flemington. Nico Ipeker scored four goals for Montgomery. Joel Given had 15 saves for Hunterdon Central, while Ben Coakley had a goal and an assist.
