athletic Department Overview:

The Athletic Department at Hunterdon Central strives to provide our student-athletes with a comprehensive, well-planned and balanced program of 33 interscholastic sports.

Hunterdon Central is a member of the NJSIAA, the Skyland Conference, the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex County Athletic Association and the Mid-State 39 Football Conference.

Hunterdon Central's Athletic Department has won the Star Ledger Cup in 2000 and 2001 and the ShopRite Cup for Excellence in Athletics, Academics and Sportsmanship in 2008, 2011 and 2012.

    Hillsborough Football Game Regulations

    Please abide by football regulations that are in effect at this weeks game at Hillsborough:

    - There is no tailgating on HHS property.

    - Please use only designated parking areas.

    - Backpacks, string bags, or bags of any kind including large or medium size purses are prohibited in the stadium.

    - Opened or unopened drinks of any kind cannot be brought into the stadium.

    Hunterdon Central's Field Hockey player Sam Lovisa scored to highlight a 2-1 victory over Pingry. Kendall Nickel and Brianna Semanchik had assists. Hannah Cechini recorded seven saves in net for Hunterdon Central.

    Football Lose Season Opener

    HC Football lost season opener to Bridgewater-Raritan by a score of 17-7. Walt Winkoop had a 25-yard touchdown reception for Hunterdon Central's lone score.

    Football update ... we're back at Bridgewater! Saturday's game will now be played at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, on Saturday, September 13, at 7:00 PM.

    Football Game Day and Site Change vs Bridgewater-Raritan High School

    This week's football game vs Bridgewater-Raritan has changed regarding game day and location. Bridgewater field is unavailable due to instillation of new turf; game day will be on Saturday, September 13, at Somerville High School. Game time is 7:00 PM.

    Field Hockey Wins Conference Opener/Nickel Scores Career 100 Point

    Hunterdon Central defeated Hillsborough in the Skyland Conference Opener for both programs, by the score of 5-1. Kendall Nickel scored two goals (including the 100 point of her career), and Hannah Cechini recorded eight saves in goal to lead Hunterdon Central past Hillsborough. Kailey Dalgauer, Amanda Whitlock and Brianna Semanchik also scored in the five goal output.

    Girls Soccer Wins Conference Opener

    Hunterdon Central Girl's Soccer team defeated Hillsborough in the Skyland Conference opner for both teams, by the score of 2-0. Christine Tack and Brie Pavol lead the offense, while Bristol Pizzuto made 10 saves in goal.
