College & Career Center

The College & Career Center provides hands-on guidance and counseling in the areas of college planning, the college admissions process and career exploration, in conjunction with the comprehensive services offered by students’ grade-level counselors.

In the College & Career Center, students can work with Naviance, a software program offering a wide range of college search tools, career assessments, and college admissions data based on Hunterdon Central alumni. To learn more about this program, please use the link in MyHC.

The College & Career Center also contains a diverse selection of books and manuals for student use and check-out, including current college viewbooks and admission profiles. With 14 computers, the Center is often used for small group workshops on the admissions process, resume writing, and performing a college search. A large conference table often hosts college visits, discussion groups, and presentations.

College and career programs are held throughout the year to assist students and families with the planning process. Several evening programs have been developed for parents/guardians that present information specifically related to college admissions. Most of these programs are also taped, shown on HCTV and posted on the website.

The College & Career Center is located in Room 801 on the 11/12 campus. To schedule an appointment with the College & Career Counselor, please email Jennifer Nuechterlein at: jnuechte@hcrhs.k12.nj.us or call (908) 284-7146.
