In March 2015, Food Service Director Magazine recently announced the Best Food in School ranking for the country in 2015. Hunterdon Central was ranked #1 in New Jersey and #3 nationally.

Payment Information:

For cash and check payments, please click on the link to download, print and complete the Food Service Prepaid Form.

Return it by mail to the school cafeteria at the address shown on the form, along with your check or money order made payable to “HCRHS.” Please include your child’s name and student I.D. number on your check.

Hunterdon Central uses a POS (point of sale) system in the cafeteria.  Instead of using cash, you may deposit a check or cash into your child’s “Food Service” debit account.

Alternatively, you may fund your child’s account using the online credit card/ACH payment system. This will help reduce time-consuming cash transactions, and make our lunch lines move much faster for our students. 

While cash will still be accepted in the cafeteria, our hope is that parents will appreciate the ease and convenience of prepaying for their child’s lunch.

Your prepaid funds will be held safely in trust by the school district.  As a parent, you can also choose whether your child can have unrestricted use of prepaid funds (meaning they can purchase anything sold in the school cafeteria); or if you prefer, you can restrict your child’s purchases to “breakfast and lunch only.”

If you choose to use the online payment system, log on to and follow the instructions to set up an account for your child at HCRHS.

Payments on account may be given to any cafeteria cashier during the school year.(PLEASE NOTE: A $10.00 fee will be charged for returned checks).

We ask that you assist us by encouraging your child to use their student I.D. when entering the cafeteria and purchasing food. This will help move the lunch lines more quickly. Student photos are attached to each account for identification and security purposes.

At the end of the school year any student graduating or not returning will receive account balance refunds that are $10.00 or more. All balances will remain on account for returning students.

Hunterdon Central now offers PayForIt (PFI) - a secure online system which simplifies payment, collection and balancing of funds for student cafeteria pre-payment accounts online. Please click to view information on PFI and learn how to set up an account.


Pre-Order Information:

Students and staff can pre-order sandwiches, paninis and salads online by 9:00 AM each day. Please click here to Pre-Order.

Students and staff can also fill out a pre-order form between between 7:00 - 9:00 AM in the Commons or the 9/10 Cafeteria.  Take completed form to the cashier and pay for your order.

 Your lunch will be ready for pick-up during Unit Lunch, by the deli bar in the Commons or in Cafe 173 on the 9/10 campus.
