Ticket Information:

All tickets will be distributed to students at the Senior Meeting - June 8, 2017.

All students will be issued 2 RED tickets that will be valid for the outdoor and/or indoor (bad weather) ceremony.  Additionally, students will be issued 3 GREEN tickets that will be valid for the outdoor ceremony only.  If the ceremony is moved indoors, the green tickets will be invalid.

A limited number of "Standing Room Only" tickets are available if graduation takes place outside on Stewart Field.  There is a limit of 2 extra YELLOW "Standing Room Only" tickets per student. To request extra "Standing Room Only" tickets, please download, print and complete the Standing Room Only Ticket Request Form and submit it to the 11/12 House Office by Friday, June 2.

Inclement Weather Plan:

Every attempt will be made to have an outdoor ceremony. If the weather forecast calls for a light rain with no thunder/lightning in the morning, we will hold graduation outdoors at 10:00 AM. In this event, please dress appropriately and bring umbrellas, in order to be comfortable during the outdoor ceremony.

If there are more severe weather conditions with thunder/lightning in the morning, we will postpone the ceremony until 1:00 PM, in an attempt to have the ceremony outdoors. However, if severe weather conditions persist and an outdoor ceremony is impossible, the graduation ceremony will be held indoors at 1:00 PM. We will notify families by phone, listserve and the website if weather conditions cause us to implement any aspect of this inclement weather plan.

Parking & Shuttle Transportation:

Onsite parking for graduation is extremely limited. Graduates and their guests are encouraged to use off-site parking and shuttle bus service to and from Hunterdon Central.

Parking and shuttles are free of charge, and riders need only to show a graduation ticket or their cap/gown to ride.

Off-site parking will be available at:

  • 3M Corporation (500 Route 202 North) - use the route 202 entrance and park in the lot to the left as you enter the property.

  • Diamond Nation (129 River Rd.)
Shuttles will begin to depart the off-site parking lots at 8:30 AM and will run continuously until 9:45 AM.

Return shuttles will operate after the ceremony from the drop off point (Transportation Building/bus parking lot). Shuttles will begin to leave once the bus is full after the completion of the ceremony, and will continue to operate until all riders are returned to the off-site lots.

Please be aware that these are the only two sites that are approved for graduation parking, and we ask that you do not park in any other local vendor lots.

Parking for graduation is NOT approved at Wal-Mart, BJ's, Lowes or Costco.

Please note: due to pedestrian traffic, the campus inner roadway will be closed on graduation day.

Graduates are not permitted to park on campus on graduation day; they should be dropped off or take the shuttle. Please plan accordingly. 

Graduation Speeches:

Each year, one senior is selected to deliver the Senior Speech at graduation (in addition to the Valedictorian.)  Students who are interested in doing this, should note these instructions:

  • Interested students should write the speech they would like to deliver and submit it by email to Ms. Manfredi by 2:00 PM on May 24.  
  • The content of the speech should be reflective and positive in tone. 
  • The length of the speech should not exceed 2 minutes.
  • If chosen, you must agree to deliver the approved speech with no changes.
  • Each student will be asked to audition before a panel of staff members.
  • The criteria for selection will be based on content and delivery.
  • Submission must be made by 2:00 PM on May 24.  Please email speeches to: bmanfred@hcrhs.org

Graduation Dress Code:

Girls: neat garments, such as dresses, skirt/blouse, dress slacks, skorts, dress shoes. NO casual wear such as jeans, shorts, bathing suits, sneakers, flip-flops, etc.

Boys: neat garments consisting of a collared dress shirt, tie, dress slacks, dress shoes. NO jeans, shorts, T’s, un-collared shirts, sneakers, flip-flops, etc.

Graduates have signed a Code of Conduct Contract to be eligible for participation. Failure to comply with these rules of personal attire will result in exclusion from the ceremony.

    Special Needs Request:

    Hunterdon Central will provide accommodations for graduation guests with special needs. Please download, print and complete the Graduation Special Needs Request Form and submit it to the 11/12 House Office by Friday, June 2, if you require handicapped parking, special needs drop-off or special needs seating.

    Handicapped Parking:  On-site parking will be provided for individuals with handicapped plates and placards from the New Jersey Motor Vehicles Commission.  A photocopy of these documents must accompany your request.   Handicapped parking will be located in lot A-1, by the Fieldhouse.  Limited golf cart “shuttle service” will be available from this parking area to the stadium.  A special blue placard to gain access to this lot will be issued to those who apply.

    Special Needs Drop-Off:   A drop-off site for individuals with special needs or limited mobility, who do not have official State plates or placards, will also be available.   The drop-off site will be in Parking Lot A1, located behind the Fieldhouse, next to the Polytech Building.  Once special needs passengers are dropped off, the driver can then park the vehicle in regular parking.  Limited golf cart “shuttle service” will be available from the drop-off site to the stadium.  A special pink placard to gain access to the drop-off site will be issued to those who apply.

    Handicapped Seating:  Special seating will be provided on the Turf Field for individuals who use wheel chairs, walkers, or who have mobility issues that would prevent them from using bleacher seating.  Due to limited space, only one family member may accompany and sit with individuals who require this special seating.  Please note: the turf gets quite warm on hot, sunny days. 

    Graduation on HCTV & Graduation DVDs:

    Graduation 2017 will be broadcast live on HCTV (Channel 27 on the Comcast network) on the day of graduation.  The ceremony will also be rerun the week following graduation; the HCTV weekly schedule is posted here.

    Professional Photographer:

    Please be advised that professional still photographers will photograph each graduate receiving their diploma.  Information will be obtained from the graduates at the commencement ceremony for a subsequent mailing of proofs and ordering instructions from the photographer, at a later date.  You will be able to purchase these photos directly from the vendor (Milan Rose) should you choose to do so.

    Students arrive at the inner roadway near mid-camp[us at 9:15 PM on June 14; buses depart at 9:45 PM.

    Return is at 6:00 AM on June 15, in the IMC Lot.  Students must be picked up; no students will be permitted to drive themselves.

    All attendees will receive a power card to play games, including video games, pool and bowling.  Food and drinks will be served all night.
