Certain courses at Hunterdon Central have required summer assignments, which must be completed by the first day of school in September 2012.

Courses requiring summer assignments include:

AP Language & Composition
AP Literature & Composition

Humanities I
Humanities II
Honors Humanities III

Honors US History I
AP US History

Honors Chemistry
AP Biology
AP Environmental Science

AP Studio Art

It is important to note that even though a student may be scheduled for one of these classes later in the school year, all summer assignments are due in September 2012. Students whose classes run in a later quarter or semester must give completed assignments to Mrs. Sullivan in the 800's Supervisors' Office, by the end of day on the first day of school.

Most of the assignments for English require the use of specific novels. Students are encouraged to purchase their own books, if possible, so that they can annotate and highlight as they read. However, if you would prefer not to purchase the books, you may sign out a copy from the 800’s Supervisor’s Office in the 11/12 Building (off Junction Road), Mondays through Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The texts for Social Studies courses may be picked up at the receptionist’s desk in the 11/12 building (off Junction Road.) Please note that some texts may have already been distributed to students.
